Local Community Programmes

Emmaus Book ClubEmmaus Reading Group: We invite you to join us for our newly formed Book Club! All are welcome to attend as we venture into the great spiritual writers. The Reading Group will meet on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 until 9:00 at the Emmaus Centre. The first session will be held on Tuesday, the 17th of April at 7:30pm. Tea and coffee will be provided. We will be starting with St. Therese of Lisieux’s Autobiography, “The Story of a Soul.” Whether you’ve read this spiritual classic before or are new to the book, all are welcome to join us. Copies of the book will be provided on the night for €10. We hope to see you then!
Emmaus may attract clients nationally and from all over the world, but we remain deeply rooted in its local community. We see ourselves as a local outreach and community centre, offering evening and morning sessions to support local people with mental and physical well-being. The centre offers an oasis to drop in and get away from it all for a while. Many individuals go on to explore our personal and group programmes as well. Some just want to call in and sit a while or to chat to someone. We are committing ourselves once again to make this a cornerstone of our own self-identity. To support our neighbours and look out for one another. To travel the road together.

We will be building an increasing range of activities throughout 2018.
